Godshill, near Fordingbridge. Hants
Lovely walk at Godshill today, starting at the Cricket ground car park and walking down to the stream, then making a circular walk to return.

Hale Purlieu, near Godshill
Hale Purlieu, near Godshill. 1 to 2 hours. Circular. Beautiful walk. Starting from Deadman's hill car park, walk down to Miller's ford turn right and head up through the pines on the top of the hill. At the end of Millersford plantation turn left and head down to a junction, turn a little way right then take the path under the wires and pass the horse pens. Shortly you will come to a NT post on open common land, this is Hale Purlieu. Walk across the heatherland to a ford then turn left on another wide track down to woodland. Turn left into the woodland. Pass through the woods to reach gate posts. Now turn right and head back up the hill to the car park. This is a very lovely area, with amazing views and very peaceful.

Godshill.
Lovely walk at Godshill today. Hart hill. Newgrounds, forest brook farm, Pitts wood, Lodge hill, Cockley hill, Godshill Ridge. About 4 miles. Beautiful open views, woods and lots of ponies. Circular, 1 to 2 hours.

Ashley Walk, Godshill, New Forest.
A beautiful walk today near Godshill . We took a picnic and walked Phoebe. The gorse was all out and the rusty colours of the bracken looked wonderful.
As the sky was blue, yes I did say blue, the puddles and channels of water, of which there were many looked magnificent.
About 5 to 6 miles starting from Ashley walk car park. Leaving the parking head down to cross the stream at the bridge and the continue passed the trees to the top of the hill. Turning left here down a grassy path. It's quite wet further along.
When you reach a diagonal path turn right onto a better track until you reach a clay and stony area. Go around this area to join a minor path going back west. It's rather puddlely here but soon joins the stony path again.
Here turn right again and soon you will be on familiar ground once more, passing the grassy track to your right, then back downhill to the stream and returning to the car park at the top once more.
