Lepe country Park, New Forest, Hants.

Lepe country Park for a walk today. It's about 28 miles away but only takes around 50mins to get there. 3 large car parks with the beach car park remaining open all year. The car park charges are £2 for 2H and £3.50 all day in the winter months. There is a lovely cafe where you can enjoy hot drinks and cakes or hot meals at very reasonable prices for lunch. This is also a small shop. There are toilets and a large play park there too. The beach is delightful for both dogs and children. Normal rules apply for dogs with bins available. Dogs can walk on the beach all the way down to the estuary without a lead. We were going to do the 4.5 mile loop walk that takes in fields, woods and beach but it was under water on the fields due to heavy rain just before we arrived. The sun came out after our coffee in the cafe and we enjoyed a super walk all the way along the beach and back. The sky was ever changing, with scuttling clouds. We avoided all the rain and enjoyed a picnic at the end of the beach. The views of the Isle of Wight are wonderful from there and there are plenty of sea birds to enjoy too. Highly recommend.
