Chapel Porth, Towan Cross, Porthtowan triangle.

Lovely walk this afternoon from Chapel Porth to Towan Cross and onto Porthtowan before returning along the coastal path on the very windy cliffs.
About 3 miles or so and takes a couple of hours.
Starting at Chapel Porth car park. NT. Free to members or £2 in winter. To start turn up the valley beside the little stream but make sure that you visit the beach either at the start or end of the walk as it's lovely there.
Follow the little stream up to Towan Cross, passing the old mine building on your way. The walk enjoys Chapel combe and comes out in the little hamlet. (There is a shortcut just before you come to the lane). Turn right onto the lane and pass the pub. Just past the pub is a turn to your right it you want a shorter walk take this one up to the Wheal Charlotte).
A little further up the road is another public access lane. Take this and keep left past the NT car park for Wheal Charlotte. The lane goes down to pass the farm and a couple of rows of houses. After the houses turn right onto the coastal path. Lovely views here down to the beach at Porthtowan and the cliffs beyond. Keep on the coastal path all the way back to Wheal Charlotte and down on the zig zag to the car park at Chapel Porth.
