Circuit of St Martin from the gorge d'heric.

This is a 3 hour walk from the gorge d'heric car park, if starting from Mons you need to allow about another 40 minutes, there is a lovely walk through the chestnut woods to reach it.
The walk begins by walking up to the small bridge at the start of the heric gorge. Cross this bridge and take the yellow route (the route is also marked by yellow/red markers)to your left that goes up in zigzags on a stepped path to the col. Now continue for one more zigzag to reach a signpost. Here the route turns right and goes steeply down on a rocky path with wonderful views. The path drops down into chestnut woods and crosses a small wooden bridge before dropping into St Martin. Once you reach the main street turn right and at the corner of the street turn left down a small path (it's marked blue, but I like this way back and it joins up with the yellow path). At the bottom turn right and follow this track back through the woods, fields and then into La Coste before taking the smaller rocky path back to the gorge.
