A lovely walk from Milkham Inclosure, New Forest. 2 1/2 miles and at an easy pace around two hours with a picnic stop. The walk starts by leaving the car park through the green gate and heading down the main track through the forest. When you come to a five bar gate go through and turn left down the grassy path (it's a little muddy as you cross the little stream, but not a problem). At the top of the slope is another gate, go through and continue on the path (over heather, this is King's garden) until you join gravel track. Turn left here and walk on the main track with the inclosure behind you. When you reach a crossroads with cycle trail signs, turn left and continue on this grassy/gravel path until you come to a small path on your left when you are level with the trees of the inclosure. Turn left here across the heather and cross the stream again at the bottom of the slope(it is quite muddy here too for a short distance each side of the stream). You can see the car park now and it's possible to head diagonally to it from here or continue on the path. There are two pubs within a short distance from here; High corner Inn and the Red Shoot which make it an ideal walk for a weekend walk before lunch or a summer picnic beside the little grass bordered stream.
