Paguignan, near Aigues-Vives

A lovely walk at Paguignan, near Aigues-Vives today. Blue markers. 7km 2H20. Easy walking, mainly on tracks. The walk beginning by parking near to the church in Paguignan. D175. Turn right and walk around the edge of the village on the road until you reach the cemetery. Take the track that goes uphill on the right, just past the cemetery. Stay on this track as it follows the edge of the hillside with lovely views of the Black mountains and the vineyards. Finally at the top you will see the Pyrenees in the distance. The track bears to right passing a combe and then up between vineyards to reach a junction. At another junction turn right onto the road. Turn right alongside a field of vines towards the hamlet of Cazelles. Turn right in the village and cross the junction to take a lovely track through the fields. Finally turning right down another track. Keep to the upper track that soon becomes a pretty little path winding its way back into the village. As you approach the church turn to the left to visit the lovely ruined church.
