La Borie Basse. A lovely walk with beautiful views of the Caroux, Avant Monts and the Orb Valley. It's an easy walk taking about 2 hours/6km. No markings but no problem either. The walk starts at the parking area next to the little chapel of St Colombe on the D908 near Colombieres-sur-orb. It then takes the little road up hill beside the chapel that leads to Servirac, before reaching the hamlet take the right turn and then keep right through the woods. As the track takes a wide turn be careful to stay on this track and not the little footpath that continues uphill. The track contours across the hills with views down into the valley. After a small property in the woods on your left the track splits - take the right track downhill through the pines. The pines smell wonderful here. The track passes a tiny cottage and here you can enjoy the beautiful old stone walls of the sheep drove. Go through the hamlet of Borie Basse and continue to a turn before the railway arch. Take this little track to right, it keep above the voie verte until it reaches the road where you cross the D908 to continue on the voie verte until you reach the PR yellow/red marked path near where the wall rises to your right. Be careful to watch out for this little path. There is an X to mark that you have gone to far but if you reach the tunnel, you will know that you have. The car park and picnic area is at the top of the path. http://www.randodoc.com/?page_id=21042
