Ornac, Mons La Trivalle.

A lovely walk on the Ornac road this morning. Park in the centre of Mons La Trivalle where there is a super bakers, a popular Auberge and a great local shop which sells local and bio produce for making a great picnic.Turn as if to leave the village again after leaving the car park but instead cross the small bridge over the main road. After crossing the bridge you will see a little steep road on your right. take this and turn left at the bottom. The little road takes you over the Jaur and into Ornac. Watch out for orchids on the banks of the road. Keep going through the hamlet and follow the road through the vineyards as it zigzags up to the garigue above. There are always lots of orchids on this track. You can go all the way to Olargues or Vieussan on this track if you want a long route or just enjoy the heavenly views for the Caroux and Espinouse and then return to Mons. Buses can return you from either destination if you wish or if you look on the map it is possible to make a circular route albeit a long one.
