Peyriac-de-Mer, Photography group headland walk, Aude.

A lovely walk with the Languedoc Photography group today at Peyriac-de-Mer. We meet in the village center and walked up through the village and the vineyards to to top of the hill above the village. Here the views of the Etang and the snowy Pyrenees are fantastically beautiful. Our leader with a great local knowledge of the area shared one of her favourite walks, taking us up on a wide stony track through rosemary and thyme in great perfusion. We stood before the lookout tower and drink it all in before making our way back down in the opposite direction to round the shore road on a little sandy track where samphire edged the etang in reds and greens and the water shimmered in the midday sun. By then everyone had food on their minds and soon they were all happily seated around a table in the sun enjoying a meal at a local restaurant organised by the leader. What a super day out.https://www.facebook.com/groups/1567803260151912/
