Villemagne-l'Argentiere.11km takes around 2H . This is a lovely spring walk on good tracks. We have done this walk before in the opposite direction. Since we last undertook this walk the walk has been marked by good blue markers although our route is slightly different to the whole blue route. We started at the Intermarche on the D908 not far from Herepian. The voie verte is just building the hypermarket don't go down onto it but cross the bridge and bearing right go up the hill on the track. Keep following the blue markers, keeping right a couple of times and then left. The track enjoys lovely views of the valley and surrounding mountains as it takes you through fields of vines and cherry trees, all in blossom at the moment. Keep left as the track passes a lovely building and soon keep left again to coming down to the river. You will see the cross on the hill above at this point. When you reach the river crossing go over the concrete bridge. (If you have never visited Villemagne-l'Argentiere you may like to go on and cross the little bridge to the village itself, it very pretty and has a lovely old priory). After crossing the lower bridge go straight over and track the track that winds uphill. The track tracks a right turn and then a left onto a little road. It's messy here from a community dump for a short distance, the main blue route seems to take you around this. At another junction turn left, re-joining the blue markers. At the top of the track is a little stone building where you bear left to descend, passing a kennel. Keep left and continue down hill with lots of cherry blossom, orchids and wild asparagus here(loads of new shoots at the moment). Once you reach the houses, turn right onto the D922 and then left onto the voie verte. Continue on the cycle/walking trail as it crosses the river Mare again and then up the slope to the bridge where you turn right to reach the hypermarket. Plenty of parking on the edge of the car park.
