Ebblake Bog, Verwood.

A short walk from the Ebblake estate. Around 30mins. The walk begins from the Pylon at Potterne wood close and takes the bridleway alongside Liederbach Drive bearing left and following the bridleway signs to over and left around to Ebblake close. Just a few houses down you will see a gap between the houses, turn right here and cross the bridge. The little path bears left, with the Ebblake industrial estate to your left and Ebblake bog to your right. shortly you come to a gate on your right. Turn right here and pass through the gate, taking the muddy path across the bog (it's easier here to go across the area of cleared trees). When you reach the small pond, turn left up through the pines. Then left again onto the main path at the next gate. When you reach the the dog bin, turn left again down a small path that is edged by the trees on the left and industry to the right. Soon you will see the gate where you first turn off to the bog. Now back track to the bridge, through the houses and along the bridleway.

Potterne wood to Moors valley lakes, circular.

The same walk as yesterday this morning, but i didn't take any pictures of the lake yesterday, so here they are today. A lovely morning walk today, taking about 1H30 with children only an hour for adults. We started from Potterne wood, from the Ebblake estate, just under the pylon and turned right over the bridge, then immediately left and through the woods. The path goes for quite a way before bearing right and crossing the meadow to the river. Turn left just before the bridge over the river and head down to the first lake. After the lake cross the bridge and turn right, after a while the path crosses another path for the golf cross, over a bridge and keeps alongside it until it reach a further bridge before the second lake. Do not cross the bridge but keep right and over the boardwalk, that bear right and over the golf cross on a lovely path that winds through trees and heathy land. The path finally reaches the river again where you cross the bridge and retrace you steps through Potterne wood. In fine weather you can turn left a walk through the meadow to reach the same path where you crossed the first bridge but this can be very muddy in the winter.
