lac de Vézoles, Herault, France.

A stunningly beautiful walk around lac de Vézoles today. The lake is finally fall once again after the repairs of 3 years ago and last years drought. Now we have had plenty of rain the lake is a perfect picture and the meadows are just wonderful. Flowers, flowers, flowers everywhere. Just stunning. The walk is only 5km around the lake with plenty of picnic benches and shady trees. It was 31c in the valley but on 18c - 21c up there.. nice. Yellow markers. Map included.

lac de vezoles. A super 6.5km/2H walk in the snow today. It's melting fast as it wasn't too cold up there but so a great half term walk it would be a cool place to go. (plenty of good snow to play snowballs or make a snowman). The walk is very easy, it being level around the lake and easy to follow as it's well marked with yellow markers. There are two good parking areas there. If you park in the one that the road goes down to the dam on, merely follow the road to the dam and then circle the lake. It takes you past several picnic areas, and a large barn that's rented out for group holidays (we sheltered here while we ate our lunch) then turned left onto the little track road over the stream to turn immediately left again into the woods on the other side of the lake. The path travels over several areas of boardwalk and returns past another picnic area. Not far past here take a small path up hill to your right to return to the road and the car park. Lac de Vésoles, Languedoc.

A lovely walk at Lacz the clouds lifted and the sun came out. 6.5km around the lake. marked yellow and an easy, level walk. It's a favourite of ours whatever the time of year. The lake is still at a low level of water but the views are beautiful both across the lake and down into the Jaur valley below.There are two car parking areas+ one a little further away near a pretty pond. We started at the middle car park, where you walk down to a picnic area in the beech trees. Turn left and follow the path around the lake through the trees. When the path reaches the stream, turn right onto a wide track to go around some buildings and then take a sharp right beside them. The path follows the beech trees around the lake with 3 more picnic areas in the trees. Finally you reach a wide track once again and take a right turn down to the dam. After the dam you can either go up to the viewpoint to see down into the valley below(from here you can extend the walk to 10km by continuing south over the hill, through the trees and on top the pond). or take a path on your right beside the lake that quickly returns to the car park. The walk takes around 2 hours, allow a little longer for a picnic halfway.

Walking between Ringwood and Verwood.

A lovely walk through Ashley forest, Moors valley and Potterne Park this morning. 

Starting in Ringwood and following the main route Castleman trailway, Pine avenue, forest route back to Kings gate, Crane Lake and Potterne park finishing in Verwood. 

Takes around an hour or so, depending on how many dogs friends my dog meets along the way! About 5 miles to western side of Verwood.

Moors valley.

A morning walk around Moors valley, starting by taking the wide path down to the playtrail and turning right for the Ants nests and enjoying the little house, snakes and tunnels before heading back to the playground.

We enjoyed playing in the sand pit area and then crossed the bridge to feed the swans and ducks. A short walk around the lake followed before having a picnic by the lake. Takes around 2 hours.
