Mauroul, snowdrops and waterfal walk in the Hault Languedoc

Mauroul. This is a lovely walk. Blue 1H max. The woods were full of snowdrops and the many waterfalls gushing with bubbling water. The walk starting from the small walkers car park as you enter the hamlet, goes down to the waterfalls and along the river for a short while, visiting the source. As you follow the walk around you have an opportunity to take a right turn. Later this path is marked with double blue markers. The small old path goes all the way down to the Col des Codouls. It's an out and back walk that would take you a couple of hours if you do the whole thing. Now return to the main trail and enjoy the snowdrops, they really are rather wonderful at the moment, covering the woods in a white carpet. Blossom out too. The hamlet is very lovely, auberge is closed at the moment so don't forget your picnic. There are several good picnic tables and benches along the way.
