Broomy wood, Linwood

Broomy wood, Linwood. A lovely short walk with beautiful old beech woods, bluebells and open heathland views. Park at High corner car park just before High corner Inn on the little unmade road off the Linwood road 50.894339, -1.719186. Cross the road and wood down through the beech woods. You will arrive at Nices hill and the pretty stream. Turn right and head into the inclosure for the lovely bluebells. The bluebells are quite small but make a lovely blue carpet under the woods. Take the first right and then a small right turn on a corner. Cross the next track and head uphill to the open heathland. Turn right to shortly reach the car park. The Inn are happy for you to walk from there if you have a drink or meal there too.
