Furzey Gardens, New Forest.

A lovely walk at Furzey Gardens with the super East Dorset ladies Meetup group to. A haven of peace and tranquility located at Minstead, near Lyndhurst in the heart of the New Forest. Furzey gardens are not that large but have some for everyone. Lots of beautiful azaleas, rhododendrons and spring flowers at the moment. There are little fairy doors hidden for children to find down tiny paths and secret places where only they seem to be able to reach in some cases, children also have a fun play area and animals to see in the fields. The gardens are run as a training centre for people with learning disabilities. There is a super cafe with a nice terrace, picnic areas, small shop, plant sales and a relaxed atmosphere. £8 adults, £4.50 children, under 4's free and disabled visitors with helper free. Plenty of free parking. Allow a couple of hours at least for a visit, you will probably be there most of the day like us. Open 10am until sunset.
