La Malvoisine, Minerve

La Malvoisine. Beautiful walk at Minerve today. 5.5km takes 2 hours but we enjoyed it at a slightly slower pace, enjoying the beautiful scenery, a coffee stop and a picnic. The walk starts by parking at the main car park (around 4 Euros for this) and walking down through the village to the drawbridge. Cross the bridge and follow the blue markers left up the hill, following the edge of the causse. Lovely views back towards the village. The route turns right leaving the yellow route at the farm. The route rounds the hill and then back down the other side passing a few houses and turning right. Keep right after the houses to return to the village. The route rejoins the beginning of the walk turning left and then right to return down the steeps to the river. Don't return by the metal steps, turn left and head for the river cave by following the dry river. The path to the left returns to the village.
