Les Banissous. Cours-le-Bas, Near Saint-gervais-sur-mare. The whole walk is 4H/11km. but we had already done the first part(chateau Nebuzon) of the walk so today we decided to enjoy the 5.5km/2H, beautiful chataigne route. This really is a delightful walk. The scenery is just amazing and the route fairly hard work at first but then the views are definitely worth it as you return. Following yellow markers from the village of Cours, head up to a white garage door and turn left. The little path goes between gardens and then turns right along the stream. Keep right up through the chestnuts on lovely old stone walled drailes. The path cross the stream and then turns left up through the trees where the path steepens until it reaches the wide track at the top. Turn left onto the track, stay on the lower track until you reach the col. Turn left onto the wide track down the beautiful heather covered ridge. Follow this track all the way down to the chestnuts again and then keep right and left and following the markers until you reach the village again at the road. Turn left and walk up the road the short distance to the car park.
