Le Puech de la Vigne Nègre, Cazedarnes, Hérault.

Le Puech de la Vigne Nègre, Cazedarnes for a windy but very sunny walk today. What a beautiful spot. 5.5km(but we added on about another 1.5km but taking in a little of the other blue marked walk there and giving ourselves more spectacular views over the next ridge. The main walk takes about 1.45m but ours was just over 2H. Walk 30 of the leaflet pack. We parked up by the church as we had already visited the village on a previous walk but there is a good car park in the middle of the village. Just past the church, take the turn up the hill and then turn right onto the rocky track. This track takes you up onto the high causse with wonderful views all around, back up to the snowy Espinouse, over to the Corbières mountains, the sea and down the valley. Keep right and the track winds between rough ground and beautiful vineyards. The main route grows off to the right at a signpost but we went on the track to the left down till it almost joins the road, then turned right and quickly left along the side of a vineyard. The tracks bare right here a couple of times before joining up with the main blue route once again. Follow this stoney track down through the Ruisseau and the vineyards until it bears right and rejoins the road. (There is one part here were the concrete track is very wet and slippery due to the water from the ruisseau flowing over it, I slipped over, be warned). I can really recommend this lovely short walk with it's wonderful views.
