Mons.

The twenty minute walk is very easy to follow. Park in old Mons by the church. Go back to the little road that goes up hill next to the notice boards. Turn first right, under the tunnel, past the bread oven and on to the woods. Follow the yellow/red markers until you come to a blue one on your right. Take this little path up hill between the little stone walls. It's mostly in old chestnut parcels but soon you will come to a pine wood. After the pine wood there is a spilt in the route. The blue route goes to your right and another tiny path left. Take the left path to make a 20 minute circuit, it brings you back to near where you started with just one right turn towards the village.

If you fancy making the route a little longer. 30m. carry on with the blue route at the fork in the path and it will bring you out at the top of the old village. Just go left and follow the markers back down into Mons, which is a pretty stone village.

if you want to do the whole route you can start in in Mons La Trivalle. It's a lovely route of just over 1 hour. Take the voie vert towards the gorge and just before the bridge go down to the car park below. You can either follow the river or the little road up to the top of the car park.Turn left into the little hamlet and right to cross the road, taking the path up the slope to join the route to the old village through the woods. You leave Mons next to the church and go down a little concrete road with very pretty views, turning left to return to Mons La Trivalle. Blue markers throughout. All these routes are really lovely.
