Les Aires, Near Herepian, Herault.

Les Aires.(this walk starts on the much longer St Michel de Mourcairol route, but does go to the top of the Avant monts or the chapel and castle)Yellow then a forest track. 6/7km. 2H. Lovely walk with a picnic. Lots of wonderful views of the villages and little towns of the Orb valley and the high mountains that back them. Parking at the walkers car park on the D160, just below the village, walk up into the village and turn left following the yellow markers east. Then turn left down a small lane and right up into the woods on a tiny path. This lovely, but quite steep path takes you to a forest track. Leave the yellow markers here as they will take you on a 12km/4h walk. Turning left down the track, follow the zigzags back to where it joins the D160 at the D909 Herepian roundabout. Turn left and walk for about half a mile towards Les Aires on the road. Then turn left onto a small concrete road back into the village of Les Aires.Turning right in the village to return to the cars.
